C. D. Roberts, Senior Pastor
Pastor
C. D. Roberts is a native of Jesup, Georgia. He graduated from Wayne County High School in 1982 and continued his education at Brunswick College majoring in Marketing & Management. Pastor Roberts is the eldest son of Jeannett and Carroll Powell, Sr.
In 1985, Pastor C. D. Roberts dedicated his life to Christ and in August of 1987, he acknowledged his call to the Gospel Ministry and was licensed to preach. He was ordained by his Pastor, the late Moderator W. J. Jones, and served his Associate Minister & Youth Pastor at the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Jesup, Georgia.
In 1990, after severing for two years as the interim Pastor, Pastor Roberts was called as the Senior Pastor/Servant Leader of the New Hope Freewill B.C. Pastor Roberts also served as Pastor at the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Waverly, Georgia and at the Elim Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia.
Pastor C. D. Roberts is the Founder and Spiritual Leader of CDR Ministries under which Nehemiah’s Window Educational & Teaching Ministry was birthed. NW Ministry was designed to aid and assist individuals who have been called into ministry and to support established churches by providing biblical teaching and pastoral covering. NW Ministry creates healthy servant leaders by teaching both the administrative and spiritual functions of the church. This is accomplished by using biblical principles as a teaching tool to strengthen leaders.
Pastor C. D. Roberts is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Christ Fellowship Church of Augusta, Georgia. It is here that he proclaims the gospel by the development of a local body of disciples and servant leaders who are taught to follow Jesus’s plan that he established for all in Matthew 28:19-20. “(Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.)”
Pastor C. D. Roberts and the Christ Fellowship Church Family are bold in their declaration of
“No More Church As Usual,” A proclamation of perfecting the will of God over the traditions and hindrances of man. Blessed by God and guided by the Holy Spirit, this decree has proven fruitful for Pastor Roberts and the CFC Family. Confirmation of these blessings were manifested when God blessed CFC with a fully furnished and equipped church home that they did not purchase or build.
Pastor C. D. Roberts has been spreading the gospel for more than 30 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Beulah Heights University Seminary and is currently dually pursuing a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Theology.
Pastor C. D. Roberts has been married to Lady
Elizabeth Roberts for 32 years
and they continue to live, love and laugh daily. They have three (3) Children, Danielle Lamb (Perry), Chris Roberts (Courtney) and Jordan Roberts. They have been blessed with seven (7) grandchildren.
Pastor C. D. Roberts is a powerful messenger and a prolific visionary with the propensity to teach and proclaim the word of God with a humorous, enthusiastic, and energetic style.
